A woman was injured and drove herself to the hospital after she was shot following a verbal dispute, police said.
The shooting occurred in the area near Paramount Boulevard and South Street in North Long Beach around 7:43 p.m. Friday. The woman was being treated for non-life threatening wounds to her upper body, police said.
The woman told police she was driving in the area when she was shot by a man standing in the area following a verbal dispute between the two shortly before, according to the LBPD.
Officers arrived to the area of Paramount Boulevard and South Street but were unable to locate a crime scene, however, they did find strike marks on the victim’s vehicle, police said.
No other information on a potential suspect or what lead to the verbal dispute was available.
