The Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) and the United States Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF) announced the results of a three month investigation of guns and drugs sold on the streets of Long Beach. The investigation started January 15, 2008 and ended April 28, 2008.

Detectives from the LBPD and ATF Agents ran undercover operations of drug and gun sales netting 26 Federal and 51 State indictments. LBPD also noted in a released statement that a number of local gang members from various gangs were arrested during the operation.
