6:00am | The Long Beach Water Department released their new “LB Water Waster” mobile application for the Android and iPhone calling it a “first of its kind” in an effort to raise awareness for water conservation.
The “LB Water Waster” mobile application can be used to anonymously report a variety of water violations. After downloading LB Water Waster, users will have the option to choose from eight violations such as a broken or leaking water line, excess runoff/over-watering, and watering between 9:00am and 4:00pm. Users can also insert the date and time of the violation, location where the violation took place and any additional information that may be useful.
Once an issue is reported through the application, it is then sent to the Long Beach Water Department via email to be addressed by the proper department. The app was developed by Long Beach-based firm CityLife, Inc.
