In the wake of a pretty sizable budget cut across the board to all Moore League sports this season, more and more of our local teams’ vitality has come from generous citizens.  Thus, it would be hard to understate the important of events like Tuesday, November 11th‘s Wilson Football Golf Tournament fundraiser, hosted by the Wilson Touchdown Club.  It will be held at the Big Rec Golf Course, spitting distance from the school’s campus.

Registration starts at 6:30 in the morning (shudder) with a 7:30 shotgun start, and a buffet lunch afterward—the Touchdown Club is currently looking for golfers as well as hole sponsors.  There will also be a live auction with tons of great memorabilia and prizes to win, and Hole-in-One opportunities include a Ford Mustang, a Chevy HHR, a Harley, and a Sea Doo jet ski.  Not bad for a morning of golf and supporting a great football team.

If you’re interested in playing, donating money or items for auction, just coming for lunch, or asking any questions, contact Bruce Running at 562-810-3234, or bsr102900@hotmail.com.
