The Long Beach State Ice Hockey team has their home opener this Friday, and they have a request: black out Glacial Gardens.  When the 49ers take the ice against LMU Friday at 7:20pm (at the Glacial Gardens on Carson and Paramount), they want to see their fans showing their Black & Gold pride by wearing all black.  On Saturday, when they take on the San Diego State Aztecs at 7:30pm, they want everyone to show up in white.

The team is expecting a sizeable crowd, so get there early if you want to get a seat. General admission is $8, and Long Beach students are $2 with ID. There will be a VIP line for students or season ticket holders that have preprinted tickets. Plus, you can get half-off your admission by bringing used DVDs or video games (in GOOD condition) for the team’s collection going to Miller Children’s Hospital. DVDs must be rated PG or G, and most gaming systems will be accepted.
