There’s no doubt that Long Beach is a high school track-and-field mecca—and Friday, at Vet’s, starting at 3pm, you can see all that talent gathered into one place.  We have some CIF and state competitors in this incredible group, but before they get there, we have the Moore League Track & Field finals.

The sprints and relays are always fun, but be sure you’re not looking at your phone when they announce the girls’ 800-meter race.  The finish between Millikan’s Paisley Pettway and Poly’s Dynasty Gammage should be a classic, since both are among the best in the nation in that event (Pettway qualified a few seconds ahead).  Of course if you can’t make it, we’ll have results and photos from the meet up Friday night!
