Long Beach PONY’s road back to the World Series for a third straight time came to an end last night at Glendora, as they lost to the home team 5-2.  Despite another good performance from Jordan Ybarra (11 K’s, 1 BB) and an RBI single from Nick Byers, the team only mustered two runs and committed two errors en route to giving up five. 

Sadly, the story was the same for Heartwell, who fell 6-1 to Redlands, also eliminating them from contention—this ends our coverage of our two local programs.  Congrats to all on a great season, and we look forward to seeing you at the high school level!
