Rumors had been flying and we confirmed Thursday morning that former Poly starting QB Dylan Lagarde has indeed transferred out of the school, to attend Los Al–it is likely that he’ll have to sit out for the rest of the season, as he’s already begun his sophomore year (Lagarde transferred in to Poly from Serra in the Spring of his freshman year).

The Poly coaching staff had apparently already made the decision to start senior Chris Leachman at quarterback this week against Jordan, prior to learning of Lagarde’s transfer.  The sophomore had a difficult start to his varsity career, leading an offense that managed just 5 TDs in four games for the Jackrabbits.  In addition to Leachman, Poly still has sophomore Chaiyse Hales, who has seen playing time this season, and may continue to depending on how Leachman does in his first start against Jordan.  Come back later tonight for our full football previews!
