Yes, we know it’s still only October, but you know what early risers golfers are—they’re already in postseason mode, as Tuesday marked the completion of day two of the Moore League Girls’ Golf Individual Tournament. After the first day of competition on Monday, when every high school girl golfer in the Moore League played 9 holes at Skylinks, the field was trimmed to 16 competitors, who played 9 holes today at El Dorado.
The top standings, after the second round, are (two-day scores in parenthesis):
1st – Ligaya Estoque – Poly – 41 – (78)
2nd – Lauren Deaderick – Poly – 40 – (80)
3rd – Kristel Estoque – Poly – 41 – (81)
4th – Alex Hoye – Wilson – 40 – (83)
T-5th – Kati Thompson – Lakewood – 43 – (86)
T-5th – Alex Ross – Millikan – 45 – (86)
7th – Elizabeth Thometz – Wilson – 46 – (88)

T-11th – Kailyn Ono – Lakewood – 49 – (99)
T-11th – Alexis Hayes – Wilson – 49 – (99)

Wilson golfer Alex Hoye had a great day to move up from a tie for sixth into fourth place, with the day’s lowest overall score (tied with Deaderick from Poly).
The top 12 golfers from day two will now play a full 18 holes at Recreation Park, on Wednesday (with a 12:30 tee time). The top 6 golfers will automatically qualify for the CIF Southern Section Individual Regional, and the top 8 will receive All-Moore League honors.
A special thanks to Wilson coach Jeffery Evans for the info! Stay tuned tomorrow for the full results.
