Junior Tayler O’Connor will be the lone representative for the Long Beach State track and field team at the 2009 Big West Conference Multi-Events Championship, which takes place at Anteater Stadium on the campus of UC Irvine, May 8-9.

O’Connor, a native of San Mateo, Calif., will be competing against a tough field in the heptathlon. Earlier in the season, she notched the 10th-best point total in school history at the Mt. SAC Relays (April 15-16).

The heptathlon gets underway at 2:30 p.m. on Friday and will conclude on Saturday, with the first event scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
