Those hoping to get their first glimpse of the 49er tennis team will have to wait a week, as rain has postponed their season opener Friday at USC.  The match has been rescheduled for Wednesday, January 28th at 3pm–it will still be on the Trojan campus.

Due to rains in the Southern California area, it was determined that the courts at USC would be unable to dry to get the match between no. 10 USC and no. 48 Long Beach State in today. The two teams will instead play next week. After the Wednesday match, the team will then make their first road trip, playing two matches at Cal starting with the Golden Bears on Saturday, January 31 at 2 p.m.

No word as of yet on whether the week’s delay will help the injured 49ers recover in time for the opener.
