The Long Beach State men’s golf team shot a 306 in the second round of the 63rd Annual Western Intercollegiate to finish in 13th place at the Pasatiempo Golf Club on Monday afternoon.

The 49ers recorded the same identical score in Sunday’s opening round to tie for 14th with Oregon State.

Fresno State continues to lead the field of 18 teams as the Bulldogs shot a 301 to hold a four stroke lead over second place Oregon and six strokes over third place Colorado.

Junior Michael Drake and freshmen Kevin Lim and Kevin Roy finished in a eight-way tie for 41st. Drake and Lim recorded a 76 in Monday’s second round as both players are now 12-over 152. Roy improved by four shots as he carded a 74.

Junior Steve Gibson is 16-over 156 as he dropped down 13 spots as he shot an 80 in the second round to tie for 63rd.

Sophomore Ricky Montanez is 27-over 167 as he carded an 85, tied for 86th.

Diego Velasquez of Oregon State is the lone leader with an even 140 for the tournament as he has a one-shot lead over Pat Grady of Colorado.

Final round play concludes tomorrow at 9am
