Long Beach State shot a of 14-over par 369 to finish in ninth place in Monday’s second round of the Travis Mathew Battle at the Beach at Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Coast hosted by LBSU and UCLA.

Oregon State continues to lead the field of 14 teams as the Beavers carded a two-under 353 to hold a one-stroke lead over Washington (354) and six strokes over third place UCLA (353).

Raymond Ho continued to lead The Beach as he shot a three-over 74 to tie for 10th, while Robbie Berton improved by one stroke with an even 72 to tie for 36th.

Benjamin Lein finished third for LBSU as he tied for 44th with a 77 (+4), followed by Kevin Roy with a 74 (+5) to tie for 50th and Austin Love with a 72 to move up in the standings from 63rd to tie for 53rd.

Philip Chian, one of two individual players in the tournament, finished the round with a nine-over 80 to tie for 70th and Michael Drake tied for 85th as he scored an 83 (+12)

Chris Williams of Washington sits on top of the leaderboard as he finished the day with a tournament low of 65 and holds a two shot lead over Mike Barry of Oregon State (70).
