After the second of three athletic seasons, here’s where the seven Moore League schools are sitting in our first-annual League Cup standings.  Poly pulled away thanks to strong performances in basketball, but keep in mind: it’s not over!  There are 9 sports in the Spring that will score points, and just twelve total so far in the Fall and Winter.

If you missed it, click here for a full list of the rules of how we scored this–it’s really simple.  Points are awarded based on how each team finished the regular season in the league standings, plus a one point-bonus for each playoff win and an additional one-point bonus for a CIF title appearance (three more points if anyone wins a title, like Millikan wrestling and Poly girls’ basketball).  There’s a few other clarifications and fine points in the link if you’re interested!

Below the standings we’re posting how we arrived at the score for each team.  No point is awarded this season to the team with the most league titles, because three schools (Poly, Millikan, and Wilson) tied with two titles each.

Here are the Fall standings if you want to see how each team did.
