Freshman third baseman Valentina Nabayan’s solo homerun in the bottom of the fourth proved to be the game-winner for the LBCC softball team in Tuesday’s home opener against Moorpark.  The Vikings’ narrow 2-1 victory improves their record to 5-2 overall.

Freshman Monique Ogata drove in sophomore Vanessa Samudio with an RBI double got the Vikings on the board in the second inning.

Sophomore Christine Gonzalez pitched an impressive seven innings, scattering five hits and allowing the Raiders only one run.

LBCC will be back in action of February 5th, hosting Ventura College in a 2:30 pm  non-conference game.
