It was recently reported by the NJ Star-Ledger that Poly alum and All-American Jasmine Dixon has decided to transfer out of Rutgers, where she was seeing about 9 minutes a game as a freshman. “It’s just not a good fit,” said Rutgers coach C. Vivian Stringer about the transfer. “And leave it at that. She’ll be fine. We’ll be fine.”
Speculation among Rutgers fandom as to the reasons behind the move range from reports that Dixon was unhappy with playing time, to the more plausible issue of homesickness. It currently looks like she’ll be transferring to UCLA (or potentially Baylor), but we’ll post further information as it’s available.
