Looking to stay undefeated in Moore League play, and defend their home court, the Poly girls’ basketball team had no trouble handling Cabrillo in a 71-22 victory.  Monique Oliver led all scorers with 18 points, and the ‘Rabbits improved to 5-0 in league; the Jags are 1-3.  “We started off extremely well,” said Poly coach Carl Buggs.  “But we let them have a little run—they did some things against us they shouldn’t have been able to.  We got beat in some of the little things.”  The little things, Buggs asserts, are what his team needs to focus on.  “Every play, every possession is important.”

Poly will go on to visit Compton next Wednesday, and then will take Friday off for their bye.
