In a crucial game, the Wilson Bruins’ biggest players came up big, as Mike Wilder (18 points) and Joel Bitonio (13 points) combined for more than half of their team’s points, as Wilson went on to beat the Lakewood Lancers 56-37.  It was 28-21 at halftime, before the Bruins’ defense tightened up, allowing just nine points in the third and seven points in the fourth quarter.  Wilson improves to 3-2 and steps into a tie for second with Jordan, and Lakewood falls to 2-3, where they’re tied with Compton and Millikan.  Wilson travels to Compton on Friday, and Lakewood visits Cabrillo.
