For Moore League girls’ golf, everything came down to one afternoon, as Wilson and Lakewood battled for the league title, and Poly and Millikan had it out for third-place, and the league’s final playoff spot.

At Recreation Park (Par 38), it was the Wilson Bruins who triumphed, beating Lakewood 234-239 to win the Moore League championship.  The Bruins’ record stands at 13-3 overall, and 7-1 in league, while Lakewood falls to 13-3, and 6-2 in league.  Alex Hoye and Elizabeth Thometz led the Bruins with a six-over 44.

Across town at El Dorado Golf Course, Poly topped the Rams to earn the final playoff spot, with an overall record of 4-8, and 4-4 in league; Millikan fell to 3-5 in league. 

The Moore League Individual Tournament begins on Monday at Rec Park at noon. It is a three round tournament.
