On Monday, at Recreation Park Golf Course (Par 38) the Bruins and Jackrabbits met to finish off the first round of Moore League play. Wilson earned the victory over Poly 247 to 278. The Bruins improved their record to 9-2 overall and 3-1 in league. Poly fell to 3-6 overall and 2-2 in league. 

Wilson senior, Alex Hoye, earned the medalist honors with an eight over par round of 46, which included two pars. Bruin sophomore, Alexis Hayes, was two shots back of Hoye with a round of 48. Hayes holed a 40 foot birdie putt on the par three fifth hole during her round.

Poly freshman, Jamie Gracie, was the low finisher for the Jackrabbits with a round of 48.

Poly was without one of their better players, Kristel Estoque, who did not play due to an injury. Estoque finished in second place at the Moore League Individual Tournament last season.
