
With former ‘Rabbit great and brand-new UCLA transfer Jasmine Dixon watching, in Bruin blue and a walking boot, the Poly girls’ basketball team topped the Wilson Bruins 55-37 to remain unbeaten (8-0) in league play. Poly was up by more than twenty at halftime and rested their starters for most of the second half, en route to a convincing victory over the league’s third-place team.
Monique Oliver had 12 points and ten rebounds, Ariya Crook-Williams had twelve, and Brittany Wilson put in ten. Poly coach Carl Buggs was mostly pleased with the win. “We had too many turnovers towards the end, but we did a good job inside for most of the game.”
