It’ll be that much easier to see the bevy of former 49ers playing on the USA Men’s National Team as they work their way through World League, as it’s been announced that their remaining schedule will be broadcast via tape delay on both ESPNU and ESPN 2 this summer.

Olympic volleyball players Kevin Barnett (2000 and 2004) and Paul Sunderland (1984 gold medalist), who served as the announcing team for NBC at the 2008 Olympic Games, will be the commentators for the World League matches as well.

The full broadcast schedule is available at http://usavolleyball.org/event/event/573?page_id=2474.

The U.S. Men’s next World League matches are against China this Friday and Saturday (June 26-27, 7 p.m. both nights) at the San Jose State University Event Center Arena.

Bittner Named MVP

Opposite Dean Bittner (who will be a Long Beach State senior next season) was named the Most Valuable Player of the Pan American Cup, which the U.S. Men’s A2 Team’s won on Saturday with a 4-0 match record.
