Last year Poly was bumped from the CIF playoffs despite tying in match points against their opponent—the tiebreaker that determines a contest’s winner is number of games won, measuring how good a team did from top to bottom.  This year it was the Millikan Ram’s turn to get stung by the tiebreaker, as they were eliminated in a Wild Card match against Warren that would have granted them the right to travel to face San Marino in the first round.  The score was nine matches each won, but Warren won 75 games to Millikan’s 71.
