Wilson, Millikan, and Lakewood swung the sticks at the CIF Team Regionals yesterday at the Jurupa Hills Country Club (Par 71), but despite some strong individual performances, none qualified.

Wilson was the best overall team, coming in ninth out of 22 teams (the top four teams advance), with a total score of 450—Arcadia, the winner, was at 417.  Millikan came in 17th overall with 493, and Lakewood was 19th with a 497 score.

The top finishers for the league were: Wilson’s Alexis Hayes, who tied for 26th with an 84; Wilson’s Alex Hoye, who tied for 32nd with an 86; Millikan’s Alex Ross, the league’s individual title holder, who shot an 88; Wilson’s Elizabeth Thometz, who shot an 89; and Lakewood’s Kati Thompson, who tied for 55th with a 91.

This concludes our high school girls’ golf coverage for the Fall season; boys’ golf coverage will kick off in Spring of 2010, and of course we’ll be back again next Fall—congrats to all the competitors this season, and best of luck to graduating seniors.

Thanks as always to Wilson coach Jeff Evans for forwarding us the info!
