The Wilson Bruins boys’ golf team traveled to the Western Hills Country Club (Par 72) yesterday to take on the Servite Friars—last year he Friars and Bruins were first and second respectively in the CIFF-SS Southern Team Divisional, and they’ve already clashed before this season.  On Friday the Friars once again just edged the Bruins, winning 379 to 380 over 18 holes.  Servite junior Patrick Cantlay earned the medalist honors with a one-under-par round of 71. Wilson senior, Boris Stantchev, was the low Bruin on the day with an even par round of 72.

Wilson is now 2-3 on the season as Servite improves to 5-0.  Both teams are looking strong and appear destined for another postseason clash.  They’ll play before them, on April 6th in a dual match at Recreation Park golf course.  Wilson next plays at Avalon on the Catalina Island golf course.
