When Lakewood scores a run in the first inning, they’re undefeated this season.  Against Moorpark, the Lancers waited for the second to put 2 on the board, already trailing the Musketeers 5-0.  As a result, the Lancers picked up their third loss of the year, falling to 19-3 with the 5-3 stumble.

Jeff Yamaguchi (2-3, R) and Anthony Razo (2-3 R) singled to start the second. With the runners on first and third a balk scored Yamaguchi and sent Razo to 2nd. Zach Alofaituli (0-3 RBI) advanced Razo to 3rd on a ball hit to the 2nd baseman. Tyler Schultz then scored Razo on a ground out. Tyler Leidholdt (0-3 R) scored the last Lancer run in the 3rd inning.

Shane Watson started the game and pitched the first two innings, allowing five runs on four hits, a walk, and one hit batter.
