The Cabrillo Jaguars got a quick start against the Jordan Panthers yesterday, jumping out to a 1-0 lead before allowing eight unanswered in an 8-7 loss. Cabrillo scored in the final inning, including a grand slam from power-hitting freshman Wesley Madera, but it wasn’t enough.
Madera was 2-3 with 4 RBIs, and Sergio Martinez was 2-3 with a double. The PT reports that the leaders for Jordan were Marcos Lara (two-run homer) and Juan Torres (2-2 with 3 runs and two stolen bases). Jordan moves into sole possession of third place with a 2-1 record while Cabrillo is now tied with Wilson for fifth at 1-3.
