Three former Long Beach State baseball players have been elected to represent their teams in the MLB All-Star game tonight in Anaheim. It’s not difficult to guess which three.

Evan Longoria of the Tampa Bay Rays, Troy Tulowitzki of the Colorado Rockies and Jared Weaver of the Anaheim Angels were elected to the esteemed honor by the fans and coaches. Of the three, only Longoria will play as Tulowitzki has a broken left wrist and Weaver started for the Angels on Sunday and therefore is not eligible to throw.

This year, the honor is a homecoming of sorts for the three former Dirtbags, as the All-Star Game will be played just minutes away from where they honed their skills in college. Long Beach State has the most former players in the All-Star Game tonight, with Arizona State behind them with Dustin Pedroia and Andre Ethier.

Anybody going to the game tonight?
