In their third game of the PONY World Series, the Long Beach Pony All-Stars won once more, defeating Tamiami, FL by a score of 9-7. Tamiami also lost to Long Beach in the first game of the tournament, then battled back from the loser’s bracket to be defeated once more. The win advances Long Beach to the world championship game, to be played Saturday at ten in the morning, west coast time.
Their opponent is still uncertain—the Taiwanese team, which had rolled through their side of the bracket to date, lost to the team from Puerto Rico, so they’ll have to play once more to decide who is eliminated, and who continues on to face Long Beach for the world championship.
