The Moore League football season is in the stretch run, with just one more week of action left before postseason play starts.  Some horses are getting tired, some are falling back from the back, and some horses are finding a late kick that might resonate through the Pac-5 playoffs.

Cabrillo

The Jaguars are one of the Moore League’s most interesting stories this season.  Their record is pretty cut and dry, and they fell again this week, to the Jordan Panthers. Click here for the full story.

Compton

Jordan

As of last week, it’s official: the Jordan Panthers are going to the playoffs.  But first, they had to avoid the trap game against the Cabrillo Jaguars this week.  Click here for the full story.

Lakewood

Underneath the homecoming fireworks, the Lancers returned to form, as Jerry Stone’s reemergence sparked a playoff-clinching victory.  Click here to read about the game, and see the highlight video.

Millikan

Millikan got a well-earned respite this week from their tough 2008 campaign, which will wrap up next week against Cabrillo.  Click here to get caught up on their season so far.

Poly

The annual Compton/Poly game is turning into quite the rivalry—but for the second straight year, Poly took it to the Tarbabes.  Click here to read about the game, and to see a must-watch highlight!

Wilson

It’s been a heck of a season for the Bruins, who went from 1-9 in 2007 to the verge of a playoff appearance in 2008.  Click here to read about the game, and see the highlight video.
