There could be no doubt as to what this week’s biggest game is: the Poly Jackrabbits are one of two Pac-5 teams still playing, and they’ll clash with the Tesoro Titans tonight at Angels Stadium at 7:30pm. Winner gets a big ol’ plaque and the right to call themselves champion, as well as the right to compete in next week’s state championship. Not that Poly or its fans want to look too far ahead, but De La Salle won their championship on Friday night, setting up a possible Poly/De La Salle showdown if the ‘Rabbits can pull off a win tonight.
We’ve broken down the x’s and o’s (you can read our Tesoro scouting report here), so just like last week all we’re going to do is give you all the info you need to get to this game on time and enjoy it. First, the weather is supposed to be pretty chilly, in the low 50s, so be sure to bundle up! There’s also an outside chance of rain, which would heavily favor Poly, so if you’re a ‘Rabbits fan, start dancing now…
As for directions, most of you probably know how to get to Angels Stadium—if not, I’ve linked our usual “Direction from the Pyramid” map at the bottom. If you don’t like the freeway, just take Willow east a few blocks past Disneyland.
As for tickets, they will be available onsite at the box office, and they’ll run you $15.00 (Club), $12.00 (General Admission) and $5.00 (Student Ticket w/I.D. and Children Ages 5-13). If for some reason championship football under the bright lights of Angels Stadium doesn’t interest you, you can tune into the game on Fox Sports Prime Ticket, the same channel that aired Tesoro/O. Lu last week—check your local listings!
If you’re rooting for Poly, though, be sure to come out—they’re going to need all the fans they can get, and you know Tesoro will roll deep! If you’re desperate, drop me a line, we’ve got an extra seat in our car!
