It’s been a great season already, but nothing like what you’re about to see—right now Millikan, Wilson, and Jordan are all tied at the top of the leaderboard with three wins and one tie apiece.  On Wednesday, Millikan (ranked first in CIF) will take on the Bruins, and then on Friday they’ll play the Panthers—both games are at 3pm, and you won’t want to miss either.

Cabrillo- It’s obvious that these speedy Jags can play with anyone in the league, but if they want to make a run at the ML title, they have to find a goal scorer.  It was obvious they needed someone to fill that role in both games this week, a 1-1 draw at Wilson and a 0-0 tie against Jordan.  The Jags begin a six-game home stand next week.

Compton- The Tarbabe momentum from last week’s draw with Millikan was hindered by a Wednesday bye, but the boys got right back to it on Friday with a 2-1 win over Poly.  They have a huge game this Wednesday on the road against Cabrillo.

Jordan-  The Panthers continue to be a surprise as they earned a victory over Lakewood and a 0-0 tie with Cabrillo.  We’ll find out if Jordan is for real this week when they play Millikan on Friday.

Lakewood- They’ve struggled to put goals on the board, but the Lancer defense has kept them in games.  Last week’s losses to Jordan and Wilson were big steps back for the Lancers, but they still have time to remedy the offensive woes.

Millikan- The Rams took care of Poly on Wednesday, and spent their off-day on Friday watching the Wilson/Lakewood tilt.  Will they be ready for the Bruins this Wednesday at home?

Poly- They’ve been in every game but have yet to win a ML match.  Every game but one has been a one-goal difference, and in two games they held the lead before letting the opponent back in it.

Wilson- The Bruins are playing their best soccer right now, and that’s good with Millikan waiting around the corner.  A draw with Cabrillo was disappointing, but a solid win over Lakewood has Big Red feeling good.
