Looking to improve to 18-2 (7-0 in league)—which would keep them in lockstep with Poly’s boys’ team—the Jackrabbits defended their home court handily, beating the visiting Lakewood team 74-36.

Poly coach Carl Buggs said after the game that the scoring was very balanced, with Ta’nitra Byrd led the ‘Rabbits with 12 points, followed by Brittany Wilson with 11.  Thaddesia Southall had ten points and eight rebounds, and Monique Oliver had eight and eight.  The ‘Rabbits remain unbeaten in league, while the Lancers fall to 1-6.
