
The Long Beach City College men’s golf team shot 363 at the Recreation Park Golf Course to finish in second place at a Foothill Conference eight-team match on Monday.
LBCC freshman Peter Prescott shot a three under-par 69 to lead the Vikings and finished tied for second place overall.
Prescott currently leads the all conference individuals with a 71.60 stroke average over five events.
Freshman John Abdon was a stroke back at 70, followed by sophomore Pat Tom at 71.

College of the Desert was first at the match with a 360 team score. COD’s Josh Braun shot 66 to earn individual medalist honors.
Despite the second place finish, Long Beach currently leads the Foothill Conference standings with a 33-2 overall record. Desert is second at 31-4, followed by Mt. San Antonio College at 26-9.
LBCC returns to action on Wednesday (Apr 1) when it travels to Spring Valley Lake Country Club in Victorville for a non-conference match against Victor Valley College.
