The Bruins played three matches last week, against Avalon, Edison, and Poly, and went 3-0 with not too much difficulty to improve to 14-4 overall on the season, and 10-0 in league play.

On Tuesday, the Bruins hosted the Avalon Lancers at Recreation Park Golf Course (14 holes – Par 56). Wilson posted a six over par team score to defeat Avalon 286 to 317. The Bruins improved their overall record to 12-4, and stay perfect at 9-0 in Moore League play.

Senior Boris Stanchev, earned the medalist honors as he posted a one under par round of 55, which included three birdies.

Sophomore, Scott Parkin, and freshman, Andrew Morgan finished one shot back of Stantchev as they posted even par rounds of 56. Parkin and Morgan combined to make five birdies.

Then on Wednesday, the Bruins faced the Edison Chargers.  Senior, Boris Stantchev, earned the medalist honors for the second day in a row. He made four birdies on Wednesday at Recreation Park Golf Course (Par 72) on his way to shooting a two under par round of 70. Stantchev’s round led the Bruins to victory over the Edison Chargers 368 to 407. The Varsity Bruins improved to 13-4 for the season.

Freshman, Andrew Morgan, finished one shot back of Stantchev with a season low round of one under par 71, which included two birdies. Senior, Adam Oser, added a one over par round of 73 for the Bruins, which was his season low as well.

On Thursday, Wilson faced Poly, looking to stay undefeated in league this season.

For the second time this season, junior, Jake Hutton, posted a round in the 60’s. On Thursday at Recreation Park Golf Course (Par 72), Hutton made five birdies on his way to shooting a three under par round of 69 and earning the medalist honors for the match. The Varsity Bruins finished only one over par as a team to earn the victory over the Poly Jackrabbits 361 to 418, and improve to 14-4, 10-0 for the season.

Senior, Boris Stantchev shot a two under par round of 70 for the second consecutive day. Stantchev’s round included five birdies. Also, making five birdies on Thursday was sophomore, Scott Parkin, who finished with a one over par round of 73. Freshman, Andrew Morgan, continued his steady play as he also posted a one over par round of 73. O’Neill Cowan and Adam Oser shot 76 and 77, respectively.
