** Clinched playoff spot

With Jordan’s loss to Wilson on Tuesday, the Panthers are officially eliminated from playoff contention, and the Rams, Jackrabbits, Lancers and Bruins can all make plans to be playing next week.  As to what order they’ll be seeded…Poly has the tie breaker with Lakewood, so they’re currently sitting in second.  The ‘Rabbits will play Cabrillo on Thursday, while Lakewood plays Millikan (Wilson has a bye).  If Poly loses, and Lakewood loses, we’d have a three-way tie at second, that we’re frankly not sure what the solution to would be.  If Lakewood loses, and Poly wins, we’d have a tie at third between Wilson and Lakewood, which would be resolved by a coin clip, since both teams beat each other this season.

And if you’re thinking any of this is a foregone conclusion, remember that Poly only beat Cabrillo 1-0 last time they played, and this time they’ll be missing the left side of their infield, with two players suspended after being ejected from the Lakewood game.
