The Long Beach City College women’s volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 South Coast Conference win over visiting Los Angeles Harbor College on Friday night at LBCC.
Long Beach needed just 61 minutes to sweep the match by scores of 25-9, 25-13, and 25-21. The Vikings improved to 6-7 overall and 4-2 in the SCC with the win.
LBCC freshman right side Marlene Dusek led all with 14 kills. Freshman libero Seferina Starks totaled 13 digs and sophomore setter Nikki Moe posted 35 assists. Freshman middle blocker Courtney Foster chipped in with six aces and also had two blocks.
For L.A. Harbor (1-7, 0-6 SCC), Mahina Hirahara had five kills and eight digs and Arianna Holguin posted five kills and seven digs.
The Vikings return to action next Wednesday (Oct. 14) when they travel to Pasadena City College for a 6 p.m. SCC match.
