This week is the Moore League’s Girls’ Individual Tourney, and after the first round Millikan’s Alex Ross has a two-stroke advantage. Through nine holes at Recreation Park (Par 38), the sophomore has the advantage thanks to a birdie and seven pars during her opening round of 30. Behind her is Wilson senior Elizabeth Thometz, who shot six pars during her three-over-par round of 41. With Poly’s Tracey Yonemura at third (with a 44) and Lakewood’s Kati Thompson fourth (with a 45), each of the four schools left has a top-four competitor, which should set up an interesting next two rounds.
