Senior Jeff Greenwood and sophomore Alexsandr Petrovic were selected to the All-MPSF team following the 2009 season as announced by the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF).
Greenwood, the 49ers’ second-leading scorer, and Petrovic, the 49ers’ leading scorer, were selected All-MPSF Honorable Mention for the 2009 season.
Greenwood notched 32 goals this season, putting him in the position of the team’s second-leading scorer for the year. Greenwood finishes his career No. 4 on the 49er all-time goals scored list with 177. This season Greenwood tabbed four hat tricks, and was a leader in the pool for the 49ers all season long.
With 35 goals in 21 games played, Alexsandr Petrovic finished the season as the 49ers leading scorer. Petrovic, who notched four hat-tricks this season, led the 49ers in scoring in 13 of The Beach’s 21 games.
Long Beach State ended their season with a 9-12 (1-7) record, finishing eighth in the MPSF Conference and eighth in the nation.
