The Saints are Division 5’s top seed, and on Thursday night they proved it with a big-time win in the first round of the CIF playoffs, taking down Mayfield, 80-43. 

The Saints jumped out to a 24-12 advantage after the first quarter, and a decisive 56-23 halftime margin, going on to the easy thirty-plus victory.  Leaders for the Saints were Kendall Cooper, who had 13 points, 8 boards, and 4 blocks; Gabriela Hayes with 10 points; and Jourdan Cooper with 3 points and 11 rebounds.

They’ll play the winner of Hamilton/Nuview Bridge in round two.
