Poly remains the heavy favorite in this game—although, as coach Carl Buggs put it after their last lopsided win in the playoffs, “The fun games are over.”  Things begin to get much more difficult with the Colony Titans.

The three big scorers for Colony are Teonna Campbell, averaging 22 ppg, Devin Hudson, averaging 17 ppg, and Brianna Jones, averaging 12 ppg. Those three make up about 85% of Colony’s scoring.  Hudson is the most complete player, a 6’3″ post player who also leads the team in rebounds.  Campbell plays the wing, and is an excellent shooter with good athleticism.

The key for Poly is their defense, which has been Buggs’ biggest concern this year.  In their losses, Colony has been shut down offensively, as they average 43 points in losses and twenty more than that in their wins—if Poly can pound the ball inside, hit their open shots, and shut down two of Colony’s three scorers, they should be moving on fairly easily to host a semifinal game.
