Ladies and gentlemen, the Compton Tarbabes are in the CIF Boys’ Basketball Semifinals—thanks to an electrifying road win over the Edison Chargers, 62-52, Compton will be the second Moore League team hosting a CIF semifinal on Friday, as Burbank will come to town.

Allan Guei, unsurprisingly, was the difference, as the spark plug point guard altered the pace of the game in scoring 23-points.  Anthony January and Cliff Sims added ten points apiece in the win.  Compton went up big early, and had a 16-point lead at halftime, but Edison closed to within four, with just a minute left to play.  Back-to-back dunks from January, and solid free throw shooting won the day.
