We mentioned last week that this Spring would feature a lot more football coverage on the site, by overwhelming demand—since today officially starts the city’s brief Spring Game schedule, we figure we’d post it for anyone who’s interested in getting a preview of next year’s action.

Lakewood kicks things off this evening at Vet’s at 5pm with their Red & White game; next week on June 3rd at Wilson, we will be honorary co-coaches of one of the teams in Wilson’s spring game, as we face off against Doug Krikorian of the Press Telegram; then on June 11th, Poly will hold their game on campus.  So far as we’ve heard from coaches, those are the only games currently planned.

We won’t be able to attend Lakewood’s spring game in person (since the Lancers’ baseball team is traveling to Mater Dei this evening) but we’ll put together a brief report on how they looked, and we’re planning on attending the others if you’re interested in some preliminary reports but aren’t able to make it out yourself.

And, of course, there’s going to be a ton of passing league matches this summer—what, you didn’t think football had an offseason, did you?
