The 5th Annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot 5K/10K welcomed over 3,800 runners to the Belmont Pool, which served as both the start and finish line.  The event raised over $96,000 for Community Action Team, the nonprofit organization run by local activist Justin Rudd.

Giveaways included round-trip JetBlue tickets to two lucky runners, t-shirts, pumpkin and apple pies.  But the greatest haul was brought in by the Long beach Rescue Mission, which received more than 12 barrels of canned goods and non-perishables collected by the Trot.
