The counties are coming to the LBC this week (July 22 to 25), Long Beachers. And beyond the appearances of elected officials famous for their county-level politics converging in the city from across the nation, the national convention will also feature the likes of world-class B-baller Kareem Abdul-jabbar, record-breaking swimmer, sports broadcaster and author Diana Nyad, Esri co-founder Jack Dangermond and Pulitzer Prize-winner Jon Meacham.
