Long Beach LGBTQ Community Leader Ellen Ward Dies at 78

Long Beach community leader Ellen Ward died at her Signal Hill home on Tuesday after a long fight against several types of cancer. At 78 years old, Ward left a lasting legacy in the Long Beach area, serving on the board of directors for the LGBTQ Center of Long Beach, founding AIDS Walk Long Beach and serving as its executive director for nine years.
