4:00pm | Steve James, the President of the Long Beach Police Officer’s Association, has been recently elected President of the California Coalition of Law Enforcement Associations (CCLEA).

CCLEA is the largest law enforcement organization in California, as it is made up of approximately 50 law enforcement associations representing 80,000 peace officers.  One of the primary functions of the CCLEA is advocating for law enforcement related legislation in Sacramento.
 
After the election Mr. James stated, “I am humbled that my peers have elected me to such a prestigious position.  I look forward to working on the numerous law enforcement issues facing the State of California.”
 
Mr. James will maintain his position as President of the Long Beach Police Officers Association, a position he has held for nearly 11 years.
