The Port of Long Beach will receive public feedback from the community about its plans to expand on-dock rail facilities until October 9, officials say. The Port has held two public information sessions and received feedback from dozens of concerned residents, as previously detailed in an staging-live.lbpost.com article here.
The port has submitted a Notice of Preparation for the project, which is the first step on the road to their plan. Officials have predicted that an Environmental Impact Report will be completed by December of 2010. It is too early to predict when ground will break, or when construction will be completed.
