Police are seeking multiple suspects involved in a fight Monday morning that resulted in a man being stabbed in West Long Beach, authorities said.

Police responded to the area around 8:58 a.m. after reports of a battery and discovered the victim had actually been stabbed, LBPD spokesperson Richard Mejia said Tuesday. The man suffered non-life-threatening stab wounds and was transported by the Long Beach Fire Department to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries, Mejia said.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, the victim was involved in a “physical altercation” with two males and one female suspect sometime after 8 a.m. in the 3600 block of Santa Fe Avenue, near Tanaka Park, when one of them stabbed the man in the upper body multiple times. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle, which traveled in an unknown direction, police said.

Police are investigating the stabbing, however, suspect and vehicle information is not known at this time, Mejia said.
