Editor’s note: Catherine Ripley has been located and reunited with her family, police said Wednesday morning.

Long Beach police are asking for the public’s help finding an at-risk 82-year-old woman who went missing Tuesday morning.

Police say Catherine M. Ripley was last seen leaving her home in the 3500 block of Santa Fe Avenue around 9:30 a.m. It isn’t clear where she may be headed.

Ripley, according to police, suffers from cognitive issues and may become disoriented. She also has no cell phone or car, they added.

Ripley was described by authorities as being 5 feet, 6 inches tall, 170 pounds, with white hair and brown eyes. She was last wearing a pink shirt and black pants, green or black coast, velcro shoes, and a cream-colored purse police said.
